Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA), through its Rental Assistance and Homeless Solutions (RAHS) division, is pleased to announce an opportunity through Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funding to support recovery housing in the State of Michigan! The Recovery Housing Program (RHP) grants funding to provide stable, transitional housing for individuals in recovery from a substance use disorder. The funding is specifically for rental assistance, leasing costs, and utilities, with an additional portion available for administrative costs. Under this project, individuals in recovery services can be supported with transitional housing for up to two years or until the individual secures permanent housing, whichever is earlier.
Attached you will find the corresponding Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) and Recovery Housing Program Application for review. Completed application documents are due to MSHDA by April 22, 2024, with plans to announce funded applicants no later than May 10, 2024.
MSHDA will host a webinar to review the Recovery Housing Program NOFA and application on Tuesday, March 19 at 2pm. Registration is required. REGISTER HERE
