MARR Application

Beginning the Certification Process

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Certified Recovery Program Operator. 

Please note ALL of the following information before beginning your application for certification;


  • You must include ALL of the recovery residences within your program in the certification process.
  • Your program must be up and running for at least 30 days.
  • You must be prepared to submit a payment along with your application.  ($300 one time application and processing fee, along with a $300 annual fee per residence with 16 beds or less. An additional $20 is required for each bed over 16)
  • You must be prepared to submit a background check within your application for any operators/paid employees with day-to-day interaction with the residents.
  • You MUST have commercial general liability insurance that listed ALL recovery home addresses and notes MARR as additionally insured.
  • You will be creating and monitoring an online profile for your Recovery Program.


Once your Application is received and approved, a Welcome Letter will appear in your profile detailing your next steps regarding your documentation and site review of your residence/s.

NARR Standards Documentation

Documentation that meets the National Standards for Recovery Housing will be required after your application is received and approved. It is expected that all Recovery Program Operators create and monitor an online profile for their program. This process involves submitting documentation electronically as stated below. Operators with extenuating circumstances will have the remaining two options available upon request.

The online profile that will be created during your application process will require you to attach and submit your documentation online. You will be able to complete this process at your leisure. A MARR representative will be available upon request to help you through this process and answer any questions.

This method includes highlighting and labeling your documentation according to every individual standard that pertains to your level of housing, organizing it in a specific file on a flash-drive, and mailing or delivering it to us.

If you choose to use this paper method, please note that every standard must be labeled and highlighted to be acceptable. 

Documents Available for Convenience

The NARR Standards checklist will inform you of all of the policies, procedures and environmental requirements for your level of housing to become certified. 

The NARR Standards Compendium will allow you to gain any necessary clarification on the standards.  

The MARR Code of Ethics is available for your program to adopt if needed. 

The Social Model of Recovery Explanation provides further clarification on how we expect our Accredited Operators to run their programs.

Certification Renewal

Automatic updates about your renewal will be sent to the email associated with your Recovery Program. Your program will always be contacted within 1 month of your certificates expiration date to renew. 

Requirements

  • A check, money order or online payment. The amount will be determined and specified according to your number of residences.
  • Any up to date documentation such as your Liability Insurance, newly opened residences etc.
